FOCUS Events Calendar
Join us on October 16th, 2009 at the Weston County Senior Center for a Chamber
After Hours Event!  Starting at 6 pm, we'll be serving refreshments provided by
members of the FOCUS family.  We'll also introduce the community to our new
Executive Director, our Board of Directors, our staff, and our most important
asset, our advocate volunteers!  For more information, contact our office at

Interested in attending one of our board meetings?  Our Board of
Directors meets regularly on the second Monday of every month at
5 pm here at the FOCUS office.  We'd be glad to see ya!

Online Advocacy Courses

OVC offers online courses for victim service providers and allied professionals to download or take at their convenience.

Victim Assistance Training Online (VAT Online) is a basic victim advocacy web-based training program that offers victim services providers and allied professionals the opportunity to acquire the basic skills and knowledge they need to better assist victims of crime. Specific information is also provided to meet the needs of target populations.

Sexual Assault Advocate/Counselor Training (SAACT) is a course designed to teach advocates how to provide competent, effective crisis intervention services to victims and survivors of sexual assault. Use this download center to gather all the materials you'll need to conduct the training.

The mission of FOCUS is to provide safety, shelter, education, emergency funds and advocacy support for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking to persons in Weston County.
